Dan Gribbin
A Musical Journey - Dan developed his act on Friday nights at the Eustis Street Grill, where the support of a
wonderful bunch of musicians and folk music fans led to that first CD, "Talkin' to the Birds" (produced in 2003
by the great Bob Rafkin).
Since then, Dan has done my own production work on a second CD, "Looked for You" (2007) and have enjoyed the
support of fans and musical colleagues in his home territory of Daytona Beach and at various folk festivals
around the state. Dan continues to write music and to arrange classic folk and blues numbers for his performances.
"Sunday Street" is the latest example of his blues work. Dan is partial to the work of Chris Smither, who has b
een very encouraging, as well as the smooth fingerpicking of James Taylor and the great rhythms of Paul Simon.
He's had the joy of doing classic folk music with Joel and Margie in their trio Work Release Program. And Dan is
ever grateful for the support of the better musician in the family, his wife Martha.
Songs featured on the website currently include those that Dan has written for the children at the Aquacamp of
the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo, where he volunteers.
